Customer Reviews:

Fun, but a bit rough [Posted on 2007-03-10]
A very enjoyable game. Do NOT download and install the newest patch, as it installs STARFORCE and the packaging does not include the STARFORCE cd key. I sent a high priority email to the company, and they have yet to provide me with a solution. Fortunately, with enough gumption, one can remove STARFORCE entirely from your computer, reinstall the game, and play the game unpatched. As above, it's a bit rough, due to camera problems and just generally poor quality coding, but the ambiance is great and the game is really fun. Oh, one other tidbit, you have to trudge through a ton of conversations and A-B-A package-type quests before you get to any combat, and the game doesn't allow you to save until you've finished off a few baddies (you get save points each time you are victorious in combat, and need 10 to save the game). This is a console-ish type of requirement, which never should have made it's way over to the PC. The combat is really fun, however, and is fairly difficult on the medium difficulty setting.

So, to recap, I give this one NEGATIVE points for customer service/ease of game saves/etc., but 4 points for a really fun and intriguing game!

ZERO STARS, Disapointment, This is not a sequel to KOTT [Posted on 2007-09-25]
This game was created by a completely different company than the first Knights of the Temple!

Everything about this game pales in comparison with the first Knights of the Temple.

Gamestyle - This is a boring RPG a la the old Nintendo games

Graphics - More like 1990's choppy blocky style

Combat - Again, more like the old Nintendo games, with very little swordmanship.

Atmosphere - More like japanimation than medieval Europe.

Also the game aims at attacking the Catholic Church, and glorifying the jihadists that were invading Europe during the middle-ages.

ZERO STARS!

Knights of the temple 2 for PC [Posted on 2008-02-24]
Having played and completed Knights of the temple - Infernal crusade(PC), I decided to buy the sequel. The first game had stunning graphics, but the quality of the game detiorated as one got more than half way through the game.
In sharp contrast, KOTT2 seems to get better as one progresses through the game. KOTT2 has non-linear gameplay that means that there is no set order of game events. This adds to a dimension. Many people have reviewed this game giving it a negative review. I wonder whether they had played the game sufficiently to rate it correctly.
One of the first aspects of the game that critics seize upon is the controls and camera views. I found that, once I had customized these, the game did not pose any problem. It does, however, seem bizarre that a similar key pattern was not adopted from the first KOTT.
Something else that seems surprising to me is that the maximum resolution of the first KOTT is 1920 by 1080, while that for KOTT2 is 1600 by 1200. The graphics seem to improve with the passage of KOTT2.
KOTT2 also offers a multiplay game that I have not tried as yet. Sword fighting medieval games seem to be a current vogue. If you liked Dark Messiah, then you will probably like KOTT2. Significantly, I have not experienced any running problems issues with this game. The new game, Assassin's creed for PC borrows ideas from the KOTT series.
The only major problem posed by this game is that there does not seem to be any walkthrough available. I got stuck on Chamber of the Shepherd for some time until I visited a game forum offering a solution. There was absolutely no way that I would have worked this out for myself.
