Do not buy this printer! I only used it twice and had a serious problem with it! The paper feed is in the back, it grabbed more than one sheet of paper and developed a paper jam. I called Lexmark, there is no way to get the piece of paper out. He told me try to use an envelope, it does not work, there is no access to get out the paper, it is a design defect with this particular machine, so do not waste your money. What a waste of time and money! Look elsewhere!

I got this printer to go with my new wireless Dell laptop--it has been great--easy to set up, and wireless through our whole house. I have had it since Christmas, and have had no problems. I will probably purchase another one for my son going off to college in the fall.

Paper Jams [Posted on 2008-08-02]
I bought the Lexmark X4550, I owned it for about 10 days, I was never able to print. Every piece of paper I put in the machine went in sideways and jammed. I talked to customer service and was told to clean the rollers, I did the best I could since not one piece of the machine comes apart so one can get to the rollers. I worked on getting all different kinds of paper to go through for hours unsuccessfully and ended up returning it.
