Colorful, involving game [Posted on 2006-09-15] I first played this game a while ago, when it first came out. At that time, I was pretty impressed with the graphics -- the ocean water moving at the pier, the seagulls flying overhead, and the various moving machinery and characters were cool. Except for a few places, the game is pretty linear, you go along solving puzzles on one predetermined path. The game is a 1st person RPG, and mostly it's silent travel through the world (there are not many characters to talk to.) The puzzles aren't too difficult, but are involving, so you have to use your brain. There is one timed sequence that used to get me on the edge of my seat as a kid -- in that spot an enemy is trying to break into the room and it is important for you to make the right choice quickly.
I would definitely recommend this game. I still remember it after all this time. It's colorful, richly designed and addictive. It's about an alternate universe that the main character has to travel to in an effort to rescue a scientist and his daughter. Now that I think about it, I'll play it again :).
Older Game [Posted on 2007-04-16] This game was older and I had to play it on my other computer with WIN98. I was about 3/4 of the way through the game and thought I had picked up an item at the start of the game but it wasn't in my inventory. I had to either restart the game or quit. I quit. It was very had to move to place to place and some of the things had to be repeated over and over. For instance, when you operated the submarine you had to restart it and go back and start the engine and then do everything all over again to make it work. It got very tedious.
