Customer Reviews:

great space saver [Posted on 2007-04-01]
I was having difficulty with the fact that the wrt54gs did not have its own place/space. After surfing through amazon I found this wall mount that I thought was perfect for my problem. I have mounted it to the wall and now it is very secure. I have found the solution for my tiny problem.

what the [Posted on 2007-08-14]
how can anyone give a review, let alone a bad review on a wall mount? LOL its just a wall mount for christ sake! ...yes, im bored

What can you say about a bracket [Posted on 2007-10-27]
This bracket is for wall mounting or stacking. Because the Linksys products are rounded on top, they're hard to stack or sit other items on top - like a small cable modem for instance. And of course Linksys makes their home/home office products in 2 different sizes also. So I purchased the bracket so I could sit my cable modem on top of my stack of Linksys 16-port switch and wireless router. Unlike one of the reviews indicated, I did get an instruction sheet in the box that illustrates both wall-mounting and stacking applications.

My only complaint, like others, is the fact that you have to purchase 10, even if you just want 1. So, if anyone wants to purchase one, email me and we can make a deal on the 9 I have left. I'll sell them individually.

Pointless Product [Posted on 2008-01-10]
I do not have one of these mounts but was thinking of buying one. Here is what I have concluded: The mount goes on the wall, but nothing firmly attaches the product to the mount so stiff cabling or a vibration of a wall or anything the like could cause your equipment to fall. Higher quality devices have metal construction with screw hole mounting. Given that these Cisco/Linksys products are primarily for the home user with little to no Network knowledge they are made easy to use with plastic cases so that if they do fall they wont be damaged that much. The rubber feet keep them from falling off a table where most home users would put them. After examining my WRT54GL and removing one of the feet from the case i realized the mount wasn't even needed!! simply line up your router on the wall and take a pencil and outline the footprints of the four legs, next remove the feet and screw them to the wall with a small screw and a washer in order to keep the screws from pulling through the rubber if ever removed. This widens the pressure of the rubber foot mount on the wall. While lining up the pencil marks screw them in place. Once this is done you will have the four feet on the wall mounted by screws. After your four feet are attached simply push the router back onto the feet you just attached on the wall. Voila instant mounting tabs that are not only free but included with your equipment and if putting them on is anything like taking them off it should hold very well.

Nice Product for a clean desktop and hiding wires.  [Posted on 2008-06-05]
I purchased two Wireless Access Points to hook up to my GB Ethernet network to enable Wireless access for laptops and PDAs. Each of these came with one of these wall plates. I like it because it helps keep my desk clean and gets the wires out of the way. For that alone it is worth purchasing. While who needs 10 of these, I'm sure you could sell the extras on eBay for a profit.

It is a bit confusing to hook up until you realize you must remove the rubber feet. I used a pair of small flat head pliers inserted into the center hole to twist them out.

I recommend taping into place in a few trial areas before choosing a permanent place for it. I discovered that when I found a "Sweet Spot" my ground floor Access Point covered the whole house. I will probably remove the upstairs Access Point and give it to my brother for his laptop use.
