It Works [Posted on 2008-08-30] It arrived, was not damaged, set-up easy, and it works. That's all I care about.
Charlie in Maine [Posted on 2008-09-03] I got this because on vacation in Maine I don't have a high speed internet connection, and wanted stronger signals from non-secure wireless sites. With the booster, the signal still reads "poor", but I seem to have rapid access without any constraints. At home, I can see the signal with the booster as Excellent, and without it, at "Good" and sometimes "Fair" depending on where I am in the house.
SURPASSES EXPECTATIONS [Posted on 2008-09-07] I purchaed the Linksys adapter because I was one of many people fooled by Netgear's completely useless piece of junk and needed to replace it. The Linksys adapter surpassed my expectations. Not only does it get me online immediately, it also solved a problem for me. The problem was that I was unable to view my [...] online videos without pausing the videos and waiting for them to buffer--an extremely irritating, time-consuming process. With the Linksys adapter, the information is processed so quickly that all I have to do is clickon the videos' play button and everything works just like normal. My online work is now a complete pleasure again. This is a superior product.
Unbelievable [Posted on 2008-09-08] I had this adapter for 2 years and never had any problems with it. It could pick up a signal 2 houses down from mine. It is very powerful. The adapter ended up getting wet to many times and fried. I recently purchased a Belkin Wireless N USB Adapter (Mfr #F5D8053) thinking I would be able to pick up at least the same number of signals but it doesn't come close. Granted the Belkin is best used with a compatible N router I was hoping it would be able to pick up as many signals as the Linksys but it doesn't come close.
