The Logitech notebook speakers for laptops are reasonably priced, easy to set up, compact, and produce quite acceptable sound considering their price. My speakers perform exactly as advertised. Be advised that when the speakers are used with Mac notebooks, the Mac microphone will not work while the speakers are plugged in.

These speakers are of inferior quality, the sound is very low, and when set at its highest volume, the sound is completely distorted. I had to return these speakers. Spend $85-100 and get what you are expecting.

I've enjoyed these speakers. I'm not an audio nut and don't need bleeding ears to enjoy video/music. My macbook speakers aren't loud enough to compete with my AC unit noise and the V10's are loud enough to overcome the noise and listen comfortably from across the room.

I purchased the speakers for my wife who travels extensively and meets with small and medium sized groups, i.e., from 10 to 50 professionals. She loves the speakers since they are very compact and don't use up unnecessary space in the travel bag and have plenty of sound volume and clarity for the room.
Others in the organization asked her to purchase more for them to also use with their laptop presentations. They are a bargain at their price on Amazon. They perfectly fit the bill for travel and professional presentations using PowerPoint. For this use I highly recommend them. Roger Anderson, San Jose, CA

I'm generally a big fan of Logitech's products, but this was really a miss. The bass is pretty awful and will make all of your music sound like someone is beatboxing over the kick drums. EQing out the bass in iTunes helped a little, but still did not remedy the problem.
I ended up returning them. Got the Yamaha NX-U10 unit instead (USB Powered Stereo Speaker) and am extremely happy with it!
