great deal [Posted on 2007-03-05] This is my second projector and first Viewsonic. It is small, compact, and delivers a great picture. Very pleased with my projector, much better than getting a wide screen tv.
Viewsonic Projector [Posted on 2007-03-11] I am extremely pleased with the quality and the information supplied with the product. The projector is being used to project information from my laptop and also from my DVD player. The keyston correction is excellent for adabting to the tilt of the screen and the projector switches from wide to square screen readily. I recommend this product.
Compact, quick, flexible [Posted on 2007-03-25] The projector has all the cables for every type connection. Intuitive controls, especially the power on-off which shows blinking until the fan shuts down, reminding user not to unplug until the bulb cools. Picture quality was excellent in a brightly lit room. Don't know yet about across the range color fidelity as it's only been used so far for an archival slide show that is mostly B/W.
Focusing controls are simple. Range is tight (between 12-15' for optimum picture, depending on screen size). Lens cover attachment is not obvious but it's only a press-fit without the expected latch mechanism. The nylon case that comes with it is very form-fitted, leaving not much room for all the included cables. Requires some thought and arranging to get all of it into the package. Once there, it's small, light, easy to carry.
Compact, Bright, and Great Price [Posted on 2007-05-13] I love this little projector cause it small enough to lock in a filing cabinet, but bright enough to be used in most any situation. Excellent value for a 2000 lumen projector, especially as it comes with a nice carrying case and all needed cables. The audio system is barely useable, however -- so don't think of this as a mobile cinema solution. And you have to fuss with the controls a bit to get the colors to look right (flesh tones in DVD movies, for example).
great buy for low price [Posted on 2007-07-19] My second projector, first Viewsonic. Works much better, is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the other (Infocus X2). Great deal for very low cost. Much better than a LCD or plasma TV.
