Works 6.0 OK but not quite what I expected [Posted on 2002-05-10] Works 6.0 is a decent value for the money. However, I was disappointed that documents that I previously prepared using a password with Word will not open. I had expected Works 6.0 to have a full Word program but apparently it does not. The word "password" does not even appear in the Help index.
your web site [Posted on 2003-05-07] this is the stupidest web site I have ever used, I don't care about wish list I just want to buy an item. I would like to rate your products, but I doubt I will have the patiences to go through all steps just to purchase it.
No PowerPoint or Publisher :-( [Posted on 2003-12-12] No point getting this software. Yes word, spreadsheet, database are cool but there is no presentation application. Just would cost me another arm and leg to obtain PowerPoint. If this is ok for you now, fine but what about when you want to advance your skills to learn the basic Office programs other than spreadsheets, database, calendar ...??
Data Base Enthusiast [Posted on 2004-03-18] I like Works Data Base more than many other programs I use in my work. I am constantly telling people to try it - but they prefer to flounder with Access. (That's like driving a semi-trailer when a small sedan is appropriate, in my opinion.) I can manipulate the data base in many ways - and use if for book-keeping 3-4 large accounts. I also use it for sorting our students and classes at a school, and for recording marks. I find it very easy to use, and the only improvement I would like to see is an option to have more than 8 reports. (We have a school with ten classes - and I need 10 class reports!) I think this data base should be advertised strongly and widely, in competition to others which are not so user friendly, and not so economical.
errors close out and lose your homework etc [Posted on 2005-07-30] Don't type long letter on Microsoft works because sometimes it will error and close out and you will lose all your work. It's done this using my computer and about 5 other computer now.. Usually I will now type on note pad which has not closed out on me ever before and paste to spell check onto Microsoft works so I don't lose my work.. I'm going o look for something more reliable that is compatible with other computers....
