bought it with N-95 which says that it comes with 20$ calling time... [Posted on 2008-06-29] This is false statement.. it doesn't comes with any time prefilled insted it asks for a credit card for activation... Don't trust the companies like this...
Stay away from it...
Why? [Posted on 2008-07-13] First off, I have not purchased this product BUT, from looking at the calling costs, it is the same price if not more (not to mention having fewer countries with service in), than just roaming on T-Mobile. Plus the fact that I use my phone internationally to keep in touch with friends and family in the US, and they do not like having to pay to dial an international number to reach me. If you can find an international sim with cheap rates, it is worth having even with the fact you have to use an international number, but seriously, I will just stick with the people I know and trust (T-Mobile) until there is actually an international sim that isn't ridiculously priced for the sim itself and has reasonable rates.
WARNING! [Posted on 2008-08-02] I did get this for free from Amazon for buying one of their Unlocked Phones. However, this REQUIRES A CREDIT CARD to activate it! So it is not exactly free! You should not have to provide this information with something that already has a stored value on it.
Ideal travel companion [Posted on 2008-09-17] I bought a Mobal phone to use in Europe in July. I was very impressied with the product and service.
We went to France, Italy and England and the phone worked perfectly everywhere we went.
My colleague bought a pre-pay card in France, however he ran out of credit and it took him two days to work out how to recharge it! (the voice menus were in French!).
Also, my Mobal phone often worked in places where his didn't.
I have already recommended the Mobal phone to my sister - who is traveling to England next month.
The only drawback with the phone is that call charges a little high, however I'd rather pay a bit more and have a phone that I know will work when I want it and wherever I travel.
Might have worked [Posted on 2008-10-02] This product might have worked ir the so called Amazon Cell Phone specialist had sold me the correct phone so this international SIM card could have worked internationaly. As it was we just retruned from a three week European/Black Sea tour with absolutly no emergency phone service. On top of that Amazon has not beem at all cooperative about allowing me to return the SIM card and totally useless phone for credit.
