Customer Reviews:

Comfortable and light. [Posted on 2008-07-07]
I have 3 different headsets and this is the most comfortable and lightweight. However, the microphone still is not clear to people I talk to. It would be great to have a mic volume control for the H12. I can hear fine but my wife says the plantronics 510 I have is better.
I like that headset, but its older, dated and clunky looking. As for the H12,I think its the noise cancelling feature that my wife is not use to...She says when I talk, it tends to fade in and out. I love the comfort of it and the charger. The other headset I have is the Motorola H500. That one is clear, but doesn't stay on your ear well...it sucks big time.

Solid earpiece [Posted on 2008-07-14]
After returning my Jawbone, I went to the Sprint store and asked for a solid earpiece. The H12 was the answer to that question. I received it and it has worked solid for me ever since. Calls come in loud and clear. Volume is not an issue and most importantly, ear comfort is great. Solid earpiece that delivers...

Beautiful design, terrible performance [Posted on 2008-08-12]
I wanted a noise reducing blue tooth headset and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I got suckered into trying this because of it's beautiful design, charging cradle and Motorola name. I don't know how Motorola could put their name on this piece of crap. I got constant static on both ends of my conversation. Everyone I called complained that they could not hear me. I had to constantly repeat myself and talk very loud to be heard. I tried pairing it with my new LG Dare and also my iPhone. The results with both phones were the same, horrible!

I later purchased a Blue Ant and for less money and got superior performance. However I still wasn't completely satisfied so I broke down and got the Jawbone II and now I get stellar performance. The Jawbone is the lightest of the 3 and far more comfortable. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this Motorola. You can get the Blue Ant cheaper and be much happier or if you really want top of the line get the Jawbone II.

Mediocre [Posted on 2008-09-07]
The technology here doesn't begin to approach that of the Aliph Jawbone (which it seems to be trying to compete with).

The Aliph Jawbone has very clear calls (both you hearing them/them hearing you). The problem with the Jawbone is that it's very, very bad at understanding what I say when I want to call someone while driving, so that's a deal killer right there. (I mean it's absolutely useless for this, which is the main thing I need it for. It also looks like cheap plastic in person, with a rubber ear loop that's impossibly difficult to put on easily/quickly.)

This one works prety good for voice recognition to make calls for you, and the look of it is VERY slick and of high quality (better than in pictures), but the overall sound quality is nothing special at all. In fact it's mediocre.

If you feel you need a Motorola headset for some reason the Motorola H680 actually got a higher score in Consumer Reports than this one did (and was the second highest rated bluetooth mono [as opposed to stereo] headset overall).

I'm still looking for the perfect one.

Good quality headset [Posted on 2008-09-07]
This headset is pretty good, though still a bit uncomfortable after continuous use (over 1hr). The call quality varies for the most part, sometimes it is extremely clear and other times the party being reached sounds like they are mumbling. I'm not sure if this has to do with their phones or reception but I find it always sounds better when I switch back to my phone in these instances.

Besides the headset's call quality limitations, it is quite the looker! The silvery futuristic finish is quite attractive and I can imagine it looking quite sharp on someone wearing a suit.

For the most part I am pretty satisfied with my purchase, but occasionally the quality is bad.

Cell phone being used: Sony Ericsson W810.
