It's ok [Posted on 2006-03-09] The monitor is a little washed out in color vibrantcy no matter how it's set up. I wish I had the viewsonic instead.
Um... seriously? [Posted on 2007-11-25] For the love of all that is modern and crystal clear, don't waste money on ANY tube-based monitor if you can buy an LCD for the same amount of money, which you can. Why anyone is still selling monitors like this I cannot fathom.
One of the few of its kind left [Posted on 2008-03-29] Graphic designers still use CRT monitors because the color is more accurate that the LCDs. I only got this one because there wasn't much choice in a CRT at 21 inches. I wouldn't call this a flat screen...there is a definate curve to the screen. Except for that, I have no complaints. It's a quality monitor for graphic work for print production.
NEC Accusync 120-BK CRT Monitor Ain't Too Shabby [Posted on 2008-08-19] I am replacing a nice 8 year old Viewsonic G810 CRT monitor. I find that the text is much easier to read on the new Accusync 120-BK. The focus is uniform from top to bottom and side to side. I find the images bright and contrasty--not at all washed out. The colors are vibrant on my old NVIDIA
7950 GT video card at 1024x768 at 85 Hz. There is a trace of minor blue shift on the far left and far right.
Altogether, it is a fine monitor that beats the stuffings out of any LED flat panel at twice the price. If you are on a tight budget and can have someone lift the 60 pound monitor onto your desk then get this monitor.
Best 21 CRT for the money [Posted on 2008-08-29] Wife is a Graphic Designer and Photographer. LCD just can't match the clarity and color accuracy of CRTs and size certainly matters when you are juggling 3 or 4 programs open at the same time. This is the second NEC Accusyc 120 we've purchased. The first one has been going strong for over 1 year.
