Carl Cox's excellent cartridge and stylus [Posted on 2007-03-18]
I bought this cartridge for a rather inexpensive Numark model turntable; the original needle popped the very first time I played a record! Carl Cox's design "hugs" the record so well that I haven't, as of yet, noticed any skipping, even while playing older records. The price may scare you, but I made the plunge, and I have absolutely no regrets.
Worthwhile Upgrade [Posted on 2008-06-17]
This stylus is so superior to the one that comes with the turntable that I am actually glad the cleaning people ruined it. I keep the needle protector on now, whenever it is not in use. Even albums that my kids destroyed twenty five years ago track well. It is rare to get a skip and the pops and crackle just lend character and authenticity to the sound. This is a good upgrade to the Newmark USB Turntable.
