fun but slightly childish [Posted on 2007-08-03] This game was fun to play however many parts of it are childish, however few children would be able to solve the puzzles. The puzzles in the first part of the game are simple but some of them towards the end are impossible without the walkthrough. I would still suggest this this to adventure gamers, the format is simple to use and easy to follow.
Way too short [Posted on 2007-08-05] This game is fun. but not as fun as the rest of the nancy drew games. this game took me only 2 days to pass. my favorite is still last train to blue canyon. very short, very few people to talk to, very easy as well, compared to 3 other games i've played.
Really Short [Posted on 2007-12-21] I'm not sure what they were thinking. I've played five of the Nancy Drew games and this one was significantly and very noticeably short compared to the others. Otherwise, a fun game.
Fun but confusing [Posted on 2008-05-11] I really enjoyed playing this game. It really does pass the time. My only problem with the game is that sometimes you don't know what to do next. I guess they want you to try to talk to everyone and look at everything but some steps I completely missed until I went over the game guide. I recommend getting the game guide or using the discussion boards at the publishers website. I'll be buying more of these for sure.
captions [Posted on 2008-06-27] "Nancy Drew: Secret of the Old Clock" is open captioned, and, I might add, the captions are very nicely done. Even sounds, like phones ringing or explosions, are captioned, much like we expect from TV. While I readily admit to having had "differences" with Nancy Drew manufacturers, and have been downright furious with them at times, this isn't one of them. LOL. The game works perfectly, even with Vista, and without having to make the computer pretend it has XP.
