Insanely Difficult Game! [Posted on 2007-03-30]
Before I begin let me state I am a very, very good video game racer. I've beaten or at least accomplished a lot on many racing games. I am very good. This game however is even too hard for me. The difficulty level is insane. The tracks are full of right angle turns, tricky s curves, hard to miss traffic, and drivers you compete against that are absoutely brutal. The sponsor races are near impossible for anybody without driving skill nearing that of godly.

I was warned before I bought this game that it can make people who never get mad at games extremely enraged. I was even shown a photo of what somebody did to a PS2 controller. However, I just figured that was those people's character fault and got this game anyway with the mindset I would not give into getting mad. Well, after trying 15 or so times to beat the SAME race I was so angry that I started smashing the controller over my head as hard as I could! And what I did to myself after that to relive the extreme stress I am probably not allowed to talk about on here so I will leave it out. But I really hurt myself and it left me emotionally scarred. For like two weeks after I stopped playing the game I was extremely short fused with people and freaking out and SCREAMING AND YELLING AND BREAKING THINGS every time some little thing went wrong in my life. And I am never like this. I had just lost my ability to handle stress.

Oh, I should also mention, that unless you win a race you get nothing, absoutely nothing. Unlike Burnout 3 you do not get any points you won unless you win the race. Had a really insane drift that earned you like 1,500 reputation points? Well if you lose the race too bad you aren't getting it.

So unless your racing skill borders on the divine, and unless you could compete against the best video game racers in the country and likely win, this is not the game for you.

This is simply a great game, folks. There are almost an unlimited amount of mods you can do to your car, endless races, the online-play option, and not to mention, nighttime racing (which is how street racing should be). You can use everyday, ordinary cars, which is awesome because you can actually relate to what you're racing (it's not just some fantasy car you'll always wish you could race). I wish there were cops, but I'm fine without them. Aesthetically pleasing in so many ways, you can't go wrong with this game.

Better than NFS Underground 1! [Posted on 2007-08-09]
This game far exceeded my expectations. I like how you can just drive around and challenge other cars to "Tag". I like how there's more options to customize your car, like new colors and accesories. But I don't like how the drift races are timed and how you actually race your opponents. Overall, it's a pretty cool game and it is better than the original, though nothing can beat it.

I was supposed to be a great game. But action is interrupted many times to load scenery. It's horrible!!!

I played NFS Underground 1 and actually enjoyed that more than this game, but NFS Underground 2 is a fun game as well. Definitely more options on what you want to do.
