Only a game..No educational value [Posted on 2005-11-10] This game has excellant vusals and a nice audio track. My daughter is 4 years old, and for about2 years I have been buying educational CDs. This CD is definitly not an educational one, but has a nice game that could be interesting the first time around.
The glaring omissions are:
1. No educational content in the game.
2. Every time you play the game, the same sequence is played.
3. No different levels.
If you have not tried it, I strongly recommend Dr.Seuss Pre-school CD-ROM. I saw great reviews for this CD that prompted me to buy it, but am very disapoointed.
Ollo [Posted on 2006-05-12] Ok the colors are nice, but you play this once and your done. The game does not change no levels nothing. I bought it because of the great reviews, but this game is not worth the money and I bought it on discount! A great fun game is reader rabbit preschool my 3 year old loves it and always asks for the rabbit game :)
Tons of educational content [Posted on 2007-07-28] Do not pay attention to the reviews that say this has no educational content. The game is filled with age appropriate educational content including, sequencing, pattern recognition, color identification, attentive listening... There are many games within the game and they increase in difficulty as your child sucessfully completes them. My 4 year old daughter spends tons of time on this game (and her Putt-Putt games) and loves them all. Just like reading her favorite books again and again, she loves to play this game again and again, even though the plot of the overall game does not change. The miniature games (like helping Rose plant flowers in a certain pattern) get progressively harder and she rises to the challenge and then gets to go back to the comfort of a familiar plot. If your child went right through this then you/he/she did not click around and find all of the hidden surprises. Plaid Banana did an excellent job. Thank you Plaid Banana.
Ollie [Posted on 2007-12-02] This is a basic storytelling game in which the child can direct the direction in which Ollie goes. It is a maze of sorts that leads to the conclusion of the story.
Grandson's Gift [Posted on 2008-01-09] I can only say that it arrived as promised. Have not heard back from the family on the Ollie game.
