I needed something like this when I had to listen to microcassettes that were recorded by somebody else. Otherwise I would never have purchased one. Anyway, I wasn't impressed by this model - poor sound quality, quite difficult to hear the tapes even at maximum volume, and it doesn't really come with anything - no batteries, no AC cord, no earphone. The rewind/fast forward is also not very clear, I kept finding myself sending the tape in the wrong direction.
