Don't buy PNY -- unethical company [Posted on 2005-09-17]
I bought a PNY graphics card that recently died. The card has a lifetime replacement warranty, so I thought "no problem, I'm covered." Sounds simple. HOW WRONG I WAS. I bought the card in December 2002, so the thing is not yet 3 years old. It turns out that PNY considers the life of a video card to be 1 year (or so, they're not very specific) and refuses to service my card under the lifetime replacement warranty.

I don't know about all you, but I consider my computer equipment to have a lifetime of more than 1 year, and even 4-5 years as I pass my old machine on to the kids.

Bottom line: PNY doesn't have the ethics of a company I'm willing to deal with. I'd look somewhere else if I were you.

I've been using this card as an upgrade in my old Compaq for about 3 months now and I love it. I purchased this card to support my home video editing/conversion projects and it does everything I need. I'm not a serious gamer so I don't know how well it would do for those applications but it suites my needs just fine. No cooling fan so it is very quiet. Includes all dongles, cables and software drivers.

Cheap video solution to run Windows Vista at it's best. [Posted on 2007-01-01]
When I bought this card it was offered "on sale" at 38.62US, and I thougt "this is what I was looking for". I just wanted a cheap AGP 3D VGA card to use in conjunction with Windows Vista. This is not a gamer card, it can be used to play 3D games, but there are better cards available out there.

The card was pretty well packaged, and very easy to install. It has good video quality, and works well under Windows XP and Windows Vista. If you don't want to spend a lot of money upgrading your video, and you aren't a gamer, this card is for you.
