I'd tested out PSPX but was hesitant about the price tag, so I looked around a bit more and found PSP8 for under $30. It may be two years old, but bluntly, it's better than PSP10 for a third the price, better than Adobe Photoshop Elements for a third the price, so the only thing left to compare it to is full Photoshop which comes in at 15 times the price? I'm not even looking.

Full features, easy to use interface, easy to handle controls, easy to understand documentation (even if it is a pdf you need to download), I'll recommend this as the best graphics processor for even the uncommon person.

Jasc 8 is quite simply a great product at a great price,to borrow cliche on cliche from sales pitches everywhere.
The one area in which it is hugely different from other software out there for the Artist is in the area of price.
Those of us who are not owners of bottomless wallets or bank accounts will be thrilled with this product.
I have worked with far more expensive programs and Jasc stacks up very very well.
Brand name items,are great products as well and in no way am i questioning how much they offer,
but the price of most of these is so far out of the reach of myself and so many others it is difficult to comprehend Why? when you find a product such as Jasc 8 at a price that is more than reasonable for such a powerful,easy to use and exciting piece of Art software.
Jasc is that amazing product that sells for under $30 Dollars and delivers on every level that is needed even by those of us who have used many different products and seen what they bring to the screen.
I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in Art.
From beginner to professional there is more than enough here to satisfy everyone.

I have to agree with the other reviewers, if you can get your hands on Paint Shop Pro 8 by Jasc, do it! While Adobe's Photoshop and Macromedia's Dreamweaver are the industry standards in Graphics and Web Design, these are very expensive packages and they have a long learning curve.

Paint Shop Pro 8 does have a bit of a learning curve but you are getting an incredible value for the price now. There are newer versions of Paint Shop Pro but they are no longer produced by Jasc. It's Paint Shop Pro 8 by Jasc that you want.

To compliment Paint Shop Pro 8, get the book Paint Shop Pro 8, Zero to Hero by Sally Beacham as this remains my all time favorite "How to" book.

You can't go wrong here.
