Good quality, great for telecons, great buttons [Posted on 2007-06-07]
We don't use the advanced features of this phone, but for just talking the sound quality is great. The phones are perfect for telecons and calling customer services: there's a jack for a headset, each handset has a speakerphone built in, and during the call one of the buttons near the LCD becomes a mute button. The handset's shape is pretty comfortable to hold (or fall asleep on) as well.

The one thing that impresses me a lot are the buttons. The shape, spacing, and *feedback* on the buttons is fantastic. This doesn't mean they're big; they're just designed well enough that they don't have to be. I haven't had a phone that's this comfortable to dial pretty much since cordless phones came into existance. Plus the Talk and Off buttons are shaped so they can be easily found by touch alone. Kudos to the engineers, I wish I could tell them how awesome their keypad is compared to the competition.

The only drawback I've run into is not being able to mount the bases on old-style phone wall mounts (the ones with two screws aligned vertically above/below the phone jack). But it seems most new phone systems have this problem today. :(

This setup is perfect. Easy to read screen and very user friendly. All the bells and whistles necessary including notification of telephone company voice mails.

Globazar has no ethics when it comes to customer service. The item description stated it comes with 3 handsets. I only recieved two. Globazar blamed the mistake on Amazon and offered no compensation for this mistake. I bought this item thinking I am going to recieve 3 handsets, just as the item description promises. At least now the item description says 2 handsets so another buyer won't feel ripped off.
But this review is based on the phone and I must say I love it. Best phone I have ever owned so far.

KX-TG5777SK - great phone, poor seller [Posted on 2008-02-24]
I purchased the KX-TG5777SK on sale for a GREAT price, but I wasn't aware until I opened the box that it was apparently a refurbished unit.

The bad: stickers with unremovable goo on the phones, paint already scratched off the somewhat-nasty looking finish, data not cleared off the phones, "ghost" handsets still registered to the base unit. Unlike what the Amazon description states, this has only a 90-day warranty according to the invoice, manual and stickers plastered on the phones.

The good: at least the batteries and accessories are new, the phones work AMAZINGLY well, packed with features, I was able to clear the phones and re-register them with the base unit fairly easily, set-up was totally easy, and the little screens look amazing. I haven't used them for very long, but so far performance is excellent.
