Decent cordless set [Posted on 2008-11-02] This phone does the job. It's a good phone if you have limited desk space. Speaker phone works great and the ring volume is good esp if you're running around the house all day. The only problem I've got is that the handset display never syncs with the answering machine--it always tells me that I have a new voicemail even after deleting all messages; so the handset is not reliable in notifying me if I really got a new message or not. But overall, satisfied with phone.
Good technology, above average design [Posted on 2008-11-19] The phone has everything one needs at a price which is pretty reasonable. The design is better than many but finally would like 21st century design. It will probably arrive in 5 years in this part of the world.
Panasonic KX-TG431B Cordless is excellent [Posted on 2008-11-19] I bought this phone off Amazon for around $30 and boy have I been impressed. I use it for conference calls and the speakerphone is clear as a bell. The reception is great anywhere in the house and it is compact and easy to use. Researched quite a few phones with answering machines and this by far was the best price with the best review.
Terrible Terrible Terrible Phone [Posted on 2008-11-20] My husband bought these online because our old phone (5 Years old) was dying and not holding a charge. These phones not only do not hold a charge-but unless they are on the charger, they do not ring. Absolutely absurd!!!! What is the point in having a cordless if it HAS to remain on the cradle????
I would like to turn the ringer off [Posted on 2008-11-21] You can turn the ringer off on the handset and even put it on Night Mode and the handset will not ring during Night Mode which you preset. But the base will always ring. I unplug the phone line from the base (and it does say "Check Phone Line" when I do that which is pretty awesome.)
Also the battery always shows three bars even when it's about to die.
Plusses, it is a a very good phone. I went across the street from my apartment building and received a phone call pretty clearly. No static.
You can save phone numbers that arrive even if your phonebook is full 0-9.
It has seven ringers and you can program a ring to a caller.
