Great sound, Great performance! [Posted on 2006-03-23] I have found this to be the best fax/answering/speakerphone for the price. I tried the HP 1050, and had to return it (twice) because of poor sound quality. This unit has had no problems with feeding, copying, or sending/recieving faxes. I have used the unit everyday for 2 months, and think it is almost perfect. The speakerphone and answering machine are clear, even at max-volume. If you are like me, and don't like cordless phones, this is your machine. Too bad it doesn't come in black, or it would be perfect.
Very Good Machine [Posted on 2006-10-14] I have owned this machine for about 4 years now and have never had any problems with it. I works great. It makes good copies, takes messages and faxes with out failing. The ink film is a little pricey but it lasts a long time. I would highly recommend this machine.
Good Basic Fax Machine [Posted on 2007-01-27] I have owned this machine for about 3 years and have used it as a home fax machine and have no complaints. Are there better machines available? Yes, but for the money this one is hard to beat. A great asset to my home office. It performs all of its functions very well.
Panasonic Fax Answering Machine [Posted on 2007-10-04] Very unhappy with quality of machine. The first fax (3 pages) that I sent jammed during transmission and all 3 pages went as one. Also the paper after transmission comes out at the top and not bottom of machine so it curls over on itself. Poor design.
Quality of speaker was bad. Lots of static.
I returned it!
Rollers go bad in months [Posted on 2007-11-17] I bought this fax and originally had a great review of it, I gave it 5 stars too. I have leant a lesson not to review before 3 months. In about 3 months there were very frequent paper jams, there were day we could not send or recive faxes. It turns out the rubber rollers were not picking up the paper. We used good paper too from Xerox.
The tech says we need to get some product to "renew" the rubber, they have gone from black to grey-ish. The fax is in a relatively dust free office. The previous fax was the model before this one, we had it for 8 years, we only changed it because a part broke.
