Good with bugs [Posted on 2008-04-27]
The good: excellent sound quality, easy to use and program.
The bugs: time and date keep changing. Phone locks up and will only work again after removing battery and reinserting. After removing, sometimes have to reenter personal phone book.
This is my second phone, first returned within 30 days for replacement, no questions asked.
For me the excellent sound quality overrides the bugs for now.

Pros
1. I use this as a VOIP phone, for which it works well.
2. Looks good mostly.
3. Loud and clear.
4. Features mostly easy to figure out.
5. 5.8 GHz does not interfere with WiFi.
Cons
1. Cannot use it when charging on the dock. Have to remove from dock and use only in hand.
2. Speakerphone could be louder. I think my cell phone speaker is clearer.
3. My cell phone has more/better features in phone book alone.
4. Features are cumbersome to program.
5. Voicemail feature hard to figure out - still not programmed this after 1 month.

For the previous Panasonic 5.8 GHz model, the range wasn't as good, and that phone had dual antennas on the base and a knub on the handset. This cordless phone has great range and clarity (without any visible antennas), along with good talk time. I live in a rural area and can get at least 250-300 ft away from the base and still have a good connection. The handset speaker phone is also good. I recommend this phone.

i live on a second floor of a building, i was using it, and had to go to the parking lot to look for something at the car.... i used the elevator, the signal remained intact, i reached the lobby... still good...
went in and out of my car... and i was still talking with no interference or lack of signal... i dont know if it was because there was an opened window between my apartment and the lot.. but it was working..well.. in my situation.. i guess the experience could be different in other situations.... anyway.. excellent range, and quality...!! extremely recommended....A++..!!

I really love this phone. The quality is great and we can get reception in our backyard. I love the feature that you are able to store phone numbers for easy speed dial, similar to a cell phone. The speaker phone option is great too. I only wish that the answering machine would announce the time but this is only a feature for those who have caller ID through the telephone company.
