Fun game, but horrible instructions [Posted on 2007-04-25]
It's fun to train the animals to do tricks, but when I got a rabbit that I had to train for an advertisement, I had no idea what to do when I got to the film set. The instructions were useless. They told you WHAT to do, but not HOW to do it.

A Great Game for Pet Lovers [Posted on 2007-05-16]
My little sister got this game for her birthday and I decided to try it out. I found it to be a lot of fun but it costs a lot of (virtual) money to do much. Anyway the pets are very cute and they are all so different. On the game I have space for all the different types of pets. This game never gets boring because there is so much to do and so many different things to do.

One problem, however, is that after I built on a new kennel for a different type of pet it took a LONG time for me to get offers for that type of pet. Also, the "experimental movie" was weird, what the heck is up with that? Also I don't think it's fair that you only get three days to teach the pets all those tricks. It may seem easy at first but the pets run out of energy very easily. It's also kind of weird that your horse loses energy after hearing you shout its name over and over but you can take it down to the lake and gallop it around for hours and it never gets tired of THAT. One other VERY annoying thing about this game is that sometimes the owner of the pet will NEVER come to pick it up. I have this parrot, I've taught him all the tricks it could possibly learn and the owner still hasn't come. So I'm stuck buying food for this pet and I never get paid for training it.

HINT: If you're wondering what the mice and bunnies jump over, before you go waste your money "buying" every single item that the virtual pet store has to offer like I did, they can jump over the "small animal ball."

Overall I had a LOT of fun with this game and my sister did too. It's also fairly easy to understand. Though other reviewers had difficulty figuring out how to feed or buy things for your animals and it can be a little confusing sometimes, I figured it out after some time. At first manueuvering the character was difficult but you get the hang of it in time. Also the cleaning out the pens is never tedious, all you do is click on the broom and watch your character walk around sweeping.

I definitely recommend this game, especially for animal lovers!!!

i love the game only i cant figure out how to make the animals clean. it says you have to groom them but how do you keep their hygene up. the instructions dont tell you how to do anything and my animal wont eat even when i have two different kinds of food out so i loke the game but it is confusing it took me a while to figure out how to actually get to town and how to get back and i still dont know how to makee my space bigger orwhere to clea the animals or to but thiei toys to jump over and stuff.

DON'T BUY!!!!! This stinks..... [Posted on 2007-09-08]
We bought this for my 9 yr old daughter who plays many computer games. The graphics are terrible and worse is that there are no instructions on how to do anything. The packaging makes it sounds very easy but it's not clear at all. We just spent over 45 minutes trying to figure out how to buy food and we still didn't do it - it makes no sense and you can't click a button for help or suggestions. We're going to return it - DON'T BUY - IT STINKS!!!!!!

My eight-year-old animal lover would play this game for hours on end if I let her [Posted on 2008-07-31]
I got this game for my daughter, who loves animals. She set right to work training animals and keeps telling me with joy how she's learned to do something new on the game. Until I read the reviews on this site, I didn't know there were criticisms about the lack of instructions. Haven't played the game myself, but I was surprised, because my daughter has a really low frustration level. She is usually very vocal and angry when something frustrates her. But I have heard nothing but excitement from her about playing this game. She recommends it to her friends. And she keeps asking me to buy her the Pet Vet game, as well.
