Classy, elegant frame [Posted on 2007-12-07] I bought this frame as a gift and used the black frame to surround the photos. The software that came with it was challenging and difficult to use in order to transfer the pictures from my PC directly to the frame. I ended up loading the pix on a memory card and putting the card into the frame instead. But once the pictures are loaded, it is easy to adjust the settings. The photos look incredible and people comment on how beautiful it is.
This was OUT OF STOCK [Posted on 2007-12-23] I placed the order and a couple of days later got an email saying it was OUT OF STOCK .... I was urged to call the toll free number, which I did. I was told item was unavailable, would I like to order something else?
Nope! I only gave this transaction 2 stars since I figure the item itself was fine, but I'll never know. So I thought it over & came up with 2 stars. I found a similair item at a Radio Shack store & bought it.
digit photo frame [Posted on 2007-12-25] Good transaction. ARrived quickly. The item is great, except for the software for loading the pictures. It was labor intensive to use.
Big Time Problems with Macs [Posted on 2008-01-06] Bought this as a Christmas present. Worked just fine when using the memory card from my camera to transfer pictures. However, when connected to the MacBook Pro, the frame completely froze and the computer's mouse and keyboard stopped responding. Now the frame seems to be destroyed for good; it won't boot up at all.
Virtually no control over what is being displayed [Posted on 2008-01-29] While I didn't expect a LOT from a simple digital frame, I at least expected to be able to select one specific folder to display all pics, or even to select a group of pictures to display. Instead, it's an "ALL or NOTHING" proposition. Your frame will display EVERYTHING in its memory, or nothing - there is no control whatsoever. SO, if you want to change what is shown, you have to change the memory card or the internal memory (translate - connect and disconnect from your computer) every single time. Not very smart. It would have taken very little to let you go through the menu and select which folder of photos it should display. Also, the buttons are not intuitive at all, and the manual is almost useless. The quality of the image however, is good.
