Customer Reviews:

Great sound, stylish a good choice [Posted on 2007-02-26]
I use these with my laptop and plug them into my Kensington notebook stand.

My friend has the MMS321's she loves them except for the bass. Like me she generally plays classical and jazz so bass is not always an issue. We both like Prince and some hip-hop so speakers with good bass is nice for these musical choices.

The MMS 322's have much better bass than the 321's. I love the sound and the look.

My only issue is the power supply it is huge and clunky; the size of a brick and even thought the speakers are small you still have to have a good spot for the huge power brick - subtracted a star for this issue because size and portability matter.

Great choice overall.

Two years and counting [Posted on 2008-01-25]
I have these speakers, albeit they aren't black (same model aside from color, however) and they have been pretty awesome for me for two years now. Two. I bought mine November 2006 from Walmart for $50.

They've survived two cross-country moves, including recently being shipped to me to CA from CO wrapped up in a bunch of random clothes and things. And they're still that awesome. I can hear them across the house if I turn them up, and they give me a massage through the desk if I put on, say, VNV Nation. At the same time, they don't seem to butcher my flute "atmosphere" music in the least, nor the few classical bits I have on my computer.

Not bad at all for the amount of space they take up. Which, if you stick the power supply on the floor, is very minimal indeed.

I do tip them over a lot, though, and you probably will to. But they're still working! They've even been knocked off my desk several times (I have cats, enough said) to dangle and swing by their cords, and not a hiccup yet.

The left speaker initially liked to travel forward whenever I played aforementioned VNV Nation (or anything with a lot of bass), but I stuck a tiny square of tape rolled up under the front foam pad and that did the trick. The tape has since come off from moves and the speaker hasn't tried to creep for the edge of the desk yet. I'm assuming the stickiness of the tape glue pulled off whatever residue was left on that foot that was letting it creep forward.

So yes, I'd recommend them. Perhaps not for packing and taking with you everywhere, as they weren't designed for portability, but they seem to handle being moved around by car, UHaul, and UPS just fine...

Fantastic Alternative [Posted on 2008-05-14]
I purchased these speakers from Wal-Mart for $40 bucks about a week ago. I needed something for my iPod so that I could listen without head phones, but I really hate the docking stations. Sure, they charge while they play, but they also sound tinny and small. I love music, so this wasn't an option for me. I wasn't about to spend upwards of $100 bucks to find out if they were *all* that way. So I went with these. They are fantastic, and I paid less, plus the added versatility of being able to hook them up to my computer, or dvd player or whatever gaming console I'm playing today. They came with all of the connector wires I needed. Also, I might point out that I have six, count them SIX cats. These speakers have hit the floor several times this week, along with having the connectors ripped out, and they just keep on working. I'd say GET THESE!
