It works pretty well. [Posted on 2008-09-11] I bought the same one before for myself. This time I buy it again for my father. When I was using it, I just have to recharge it 4 times a year. It is so convinient.
No long charge [Posted on 2008-09-20] Gives a good shave, but the charge is good for only 30 minutes. According to the manual you have to charge it for 8 hours. My old one had a charge that lasted me for close to a month, and the charging was done in less than 8 hours.
A good, average shaver at a modest price [Posted on 2008-09-29] My experience with Norelco shavers extends over thirty years. Owning more expensive models, I received an average of ten years economical service from each on my elderly face with a fairly light beard. Having reviewed a number of current models, the 7140 seemed most cost-effective. After using it for a month, I have determined the following: PRO's - It is designed to fit the hand well and the flip-type head simplifies cleaning. CON's - No sliding scale indicator to show state of charge. Runs at a relatively slow speed with slower shaving time. Bulky external transformer at end of charging cord. No storage case or pouch.
Its a good razor. [Posted on 2008-10-06] It works well. I've found it best to use before wiskers get too long.
I've gone over 2 weeks on the first charge. A quick shave takes less than a minute and I've had no skin irritation.
Norelco 7140 [Posted on 2008-10-07] I've used the Norelco for years with very good performance. This particular model is OK for light shaving (I only keep it in my motorhome)but does not have the better motor or shaving heads as top line models. Also, this model does not feature a low battery warning light so it's a guessing game as to when charging is needed. However, it's good value for the money.
