I, too, purchased this RF Modulator to replace an AWFUL Terk Mini-Modulator. As the other reviewer says here, "DO NOT BUY THE TERK MINI MODULATOR!" It has to rank as the WORST electronics purchase I have ever made. Anyway, the Philips RF Modulator is awesome and an excellent value for the price! Terrific audio & visual! This RF Modulator even has an S-Video cable connection. Very cool. I'm impressed with this item and would recommend it to anyone looking to hook up an older TV to your DVD player or VCR or any video game console.

This product does exactly what I wanted it to do. A simple, transparent way to connect a vcr to an old television. It worked perfectly out of the box.

I purchased this for connecting my laptop to tv. It worked for few min. after that power cord stopped working. When I put in power cord in switch, power light flashed for one sec and then went off. I returned this. I have read this issue with this product at many places. Don't purchase...

It allows you to use a modern DVD player with an old TV.

This product is very simple and powerful. You plug in your DVD player with the three plugs (red white yellow) and then attach a coaxial cable to your TV. If you have cable/sat you plug it into this box too. When you power on the DVD, it takes over your TV. When you power the DVD off, you go back to regular TV. Simple!

I purchased this for my son, since his old TV had broken. The TV had no RCA, (red, yellow, white) plugs for DVD, etc. hookup. The setup is pretty straigh forward and simple. We have had no problems with this unit. The television signal is not degraded in any way, so the picture on the screen is clear and bright.
