I bought this because I needed a headset/microphone that was cordless and I didn't want to spend much money on it. Well, you get what you pay for... sound quality is not very good and it is hard to hear with this, even with the volume on the phone turned up. I actually had to push it further into my ear and hold it there with my fingers to hear well. Kinda defeats the purpose which is to be "hands free". It now sits in a desk drawer, unused. Ended up with the MX505 model at about $35.00 and like it!

Loose and floppy [Posted on 2008-04-05]
I was expecting this to be similar to my platronics bluetooth that I had for my work phone. This one is much longer, does not have a cushioned earbud, but rather just speaker that sits loosely on your ear. It does have a loop to go around the ear, but that alone does not seem sufficient to keep it secure. Minimal head movement causes the thing to fall off. I am not using it.

I have had many headsets.. I use them constantly.. Most fail because of me and pulling the cord out or wearing them out at the connector. This one here wont get that opportunity.. I wont use it.. for these reasons:
1) Volume is low and hard to hear.. and no adjustments on the headset itself. I have found that many phones vary by maker also in their volume so the ablilty to adjust to an accptable level by the headset is essential.
2)Ear loop is poor. Its a poor design and frankly to my ear its very uncomfortable. When you have to wear one for hours on end which I do, its vital to have one that doesnt make your ear sore.. This loop doesnt fit me well, its stiff and the soft part in the back is bascailly non effectivie for comfort at all. In the position it puts my ear to the actual headset is farther away than should be.. I have to press the headset into my ear to make it loud enough(see no.1 point) to hear anyone; which negates the fact to have the headset mainly is to free your hands to do work.. and such...
3) The volume switch on the side didnt do a thing to either enhance or improve the audible levels.

I will not use it. I am going to buy another type..

Great headset/earpiece [Posted on 2008-04-14]
I have used this earpiece for a year. I cannot use a phone without one and have tried several. This is the lightest and easiest to use for the price. I have ordered a replacement since the wires eventually fail, but it has been dropped numerous times, left in the sun and generally carried around every day for more than a year before failing! I will buy this again.

I received the headset and used it about 6 different times and every individual on the other end said they could hardly hear me and it sounded like I was in a stadium (echoed). So I said enough and went ahead and returned it.
