Quicken WillMaker [Posted on 2007-10-10] I recommend this to anyone who wants to make sure things will be handled the way they want them handled when the time comes you can't make those decisions. It is very thorough with many choices of documents and explanations of when to use them and how to use them.
Software review [Posted on 2007-10-31] Software is adequate in that in follows generalized formats and you can print out your will to get it notarized. The biggest shortcoming is in "specific bequests". Due to the confusion from the instructions and the software's lack of allowing me to be specific, I ended up making a separate list of "who gets what" and put "see attached sheet(s)" in the specific bequests section of the will.
Not what you think it is. You should see an attorney. [Posted on 2008-01-29] You cound use the internet to get the same information and save the money you pay for this thing!! Never again!!
Easy to use [Posted on 2008-02-08] We bought 2007 version because 2008 one doesn't support windows xp.
The software is very easy to use. Just plug in names and it will prompt you to pick your choices. One the right side, it gives you samples and instructions. The only thing that bugs me is the name of the living trust. it's a comination of both my name and my husband's. Not sure how to change it.
It's a beginning [Posted on 2008-03-21] Very easy to use, but only effective for very simple wills. If your estate will go to more than one person, it requires a lot of modification not in the software.
