First time MMO player, really like this one [Posted on 2005-07-27]
I like to play console RPGs, and this is my first MMO. This game is a very nice surprise as I was ready to not like it. Very deep world, great character development, the guild system is awesome, and overall, I thought the graphics and support are great. I can recommend this to anyone interested in a deep, online experience.

Wow buy the game cant even play [Posted on 2005-08-05]
I baught this game on Aug 4th 2005. It installed fine, but i got a message saying i was a unsubscribed member. Funny i have a 30 day free trail. So, I call the customer support which gets a A+++ effort because they were open at 10pm my time, which is nice sense dark age of camelot has banker hours, lol. Well they informed me to email there support, strike one. This should be something they can deal with over the phone? Strike two, i send them an email, didnt get back to me, so i sent them another one. Being the idot that i am , i forgot to include my user name on second email, so they needed that info, and claimed never to get my first email( it wasnt returned to me) So strike three, 3 days owning the game still no play, taking it back to best buy and demanding customer credit.....

Im not really a kid, just dont have an account. [Posted on 2005-08-14]
This is an awsome mmorpg. It seems like its a combination of World of Warcraft with the characters and Morrowind with the landscape. The world seems vast and the enimys numerous but I wouldent know the extent, im stucking to one town right now. The game play is pretty good and it gives you two ways to move around the world, either with your mouse or your keyboard, whichever works for you. The problem is it says on the box free game play offer but dont be fooled, you have to pay to play and they suposedly send you survys every so often and it gives you a month of free play but I havent gotten anything but ive only had the game for 2-3 days. The price isnt as high as World of Warcraft and those other mmorpg out witch is a good thing. Remember, you have to play to pay, its 5x2 dollers a month to play and you get 30 days to play for free after you buy it. The reason why I put the price in a math question is amazon doesnt let people put the prices on for some reason so im seeing if this will help so people will know how much they will have to pay.

RYL - Even "Adults" can enjoy this game. [Posted on 2005-12-01]
If you want a technical review, or a review written by someone that knows all the MMORPG games and can make comparisons - this review is not for you. My experience is quite limited, and I do not care about the technical aspects of games. I play purely for fun.

My first role-playing game was played on a Commodor 64. For people that know what that is - you have an approximate idea of my age.

The first MMORPG game I played was Diablo. I played it 'til my fingers bled - and also until I had "gotten to the end" in all the possible characters. Then I was bored and left the online gaming world for a few years.

Last year I found myself checking the reviews on games on Zdnet, Tucows, etc. and I found this game. I played RYL for months. It is a very satisfying game to play in most of the toons. Some of the character possibilties were gimped, but that may have changed.

I never did get to level 99. My highest character was 63 when I quit. Thus, I never was strong enough to kill all the possible mobs, nor complete all the quests.

The reason I left: While the game is a really nice game, the people aren't! As I said in the beginning - I play for fun. I got tired of the people that were not there for fun, and gave my account to someone that still wanted to play.

It's a little over a year later, and I am going to start again at level 1. From what I have read, they added some more "new stuff" to the game. My skin has grown thicker, and I bet that I stick it out to level 99 this time around.

Don't for sure but wasn't able to play this game. [Posted on 2008-03-26]
Not for sure but think I purchased a game that can no longer be played. Tried to get online to play it but there wasn't no where to play it. So not for sure what the deal is.
