About the company:
When I 1st discovered this company laser mice were well in full swing and the company was still making ball mice. However, even still the company garnered a lot of respect from gamers. They promised the best precision and speed of any mouse on the market. Once Razer started making laser mice with the same kind of DPI as their ball mice I jumped in!
About the mouse:
I have owned this model (in blue) well over a year now and I still love it very much.
This mouse when you 1st plug it in is INSANELY fast! Luckily these mice come with a software that allows you to adjust the speed to what you like. However, having that extreme precision at my finger tips is great for everything from drawing with the mouse in apps like Photoshop (without a wacom) to pulling off some insanely quick turn arounds in FPS games.
The speed of this mouse (when not reduce by software) is close to unusable unless you have the most steady hands. Just moving less then an inch across your mouse pad can send your mouse from left side of screen to right. Another example without the software speed reduction; I keep my hand on the mouse without moving my hand.. and the small pulse of blood in my hands veins can jerk the mouse cursor around on the screen. We are talking precise movement. :)
Other thoughts:
2 buttons left side, 2 buttons right side, scroll wheel and 2 main buttons... and all can be programmed to what you want. Mapping some of the side buttons isn't always very game friendly, but I like the side buttons for voice chat options like Ventrillo and Teamspeak while i use primary buttons for gaming.
I loved this mouse and when the next generation of Razers come out.. i will move this over to my laptop and buy a new one. Until then.. this one is still going strong... lol.. even the logo didn't wear off in all this time.

Feels great, takes about a month to get used to for gaming. Doesn't break or anything like the 10 dollar mice. I've had it for about 1.5 months. Good product

I've owned this mouse for about 2 years. The software can be a bit tricky, what I had to do was download the drivers via windows update and just use the software that came on the cd with it. DO NOT download the newer software off of the razer site. This method worked for vista as well so no worries there. Also the side buttons are a bit small and close together so it can be frustrating to press the wrong one from time to time. Other than those 2 issues I would definitely recommend the diamondback to someone looking to get a lot of bang for their buck from a great gaming mouse
