Overall, a nice program to use ! [Posted on 2006-04-25]
Registry Mechanic, overall, was a nice basic program to use to performa quick and deep scans of your system registry. Although I work with computers and can most of the times perform registry clean-ups manually, I can't get everything can I, so Registry Mechanic helps with that. For users not very experienced with computers and its programs, this is a rather basic program to catch onto fairly quickly. Out of all the programs I've used, I'd recommend this one over most of the others.

As far as I know, it does what it purports. To say this is not enough, however. The scan is (not surprisingly) a memory hog, and it cannot be scheduled. Instead it comes on automatically when you log on. If, like me, you want to log on and get to work, forget it! Registry Mechanic will guarantee painfully slow start-ups.
