Good quality for the price. [Posted on 2007-08-13] I bought the first set a little hesitantly given the 19.99 price and some negative reviews, but ended up liking them so well I went back for another set when they were only 14.99! Great bargain. I think maybe two of the knives showed small rust spots early on, but since then no problems at all and they've been through the dishwasher dozens of times.
Good buy [Posted on 2007-08-23] We ordered this silverware for a vacation trailer and they are perfect. A wonderful price for a full set and they aren't cheap feeling. They have a nice weight to them, but they don't take up a bunch of space.
Heavy Weight [Posted on 2007-10-30] I bought this flatware in MAY 07. All I can say is it's sure heavy weight. Yes you can see this if you zoom in on the picture (as another reviewer wrote). It is very thick. As a matter of fact some of them ended up in the garbage disposal and it only left a few nicks in them that I sanded smooth. I was more worried about my garbage disposal being damaged due to there thickness. And if they do get damaged.....For this price I can buy another set.
Top-notch! [Posted on 2007-11-02] I bought this set for my mom last Xmas, and it was the best value of any gift I got last year. This year I will be getting a set of my own as soon as Amazon gets them back in stock.
The spoons have a perfect curve on them that is very pleasant in your mouth when eating cereal. They are heavyweight compared to any set up to triple the price, and good quality as they're made in Japan. They were well-machined, without sharp edges or anything bad about their construction at all. Those customers who hastily sent them back without even trying them missed out on what has become my favorite flatware anywhere...
You gotta eat [Posted on 2007-12-07] I have had this flatware set for a little while now and it has held up well. When I got them in I noticed they were well made and had a bit of weight to them. I have noticed spots forming on them over time but that might be from my old dishwasher or my total lack of respect to taking care of them. Its flatware, you shouldn't have to think about them.
