A godsend for travelers [Posted on 2008-11-20] Unlike other reviewers, I wasn't so much interested in the batteries here. They're precharged, great, but I wasn't in much of a hurry to use them anyway. But I absolutely love the charger. I travel with a backpack most of the year, and I was not happy lugging around my previous battery charger, a heavy brick that had to be plugged into a wall socket. It was also difficult to pack, since its prongs stood out and would get bent in the crush of my bag.
But this little charger here is exactly what I need. It is featherweight and a streamlined box with nothing sticking out. It even converts between AA and AAA with the flick of a tab, something I never got in a charger before. The USB power really helps in less develoepd countries where you only get one socket for use and can't plug in multiple appliances.
This is just a magical little device, and economically priced too. I'd strongly suggest it for anyone needing a charger on the go.
The best generation of rechargable batteries [Posted on 2008-11-21] Let's face it, the old NIMH batteries were an improvement over NiCad batteries, but would still lose their charge at the most inconvenient moments. I have found myself bringing my charger with me on vacations to ensure that my NIHM batteries wouldn't fail on me in my camera. The Sanyo Eneloop batteries have now re-defined rechargeable batteries by holding their charge when not in use. I use the Sanyo Eneloops in power hungry devices such as my electric toothbrush and remotes for the Nintendo Wii. It is amazing how many batteries that thing goes through. I have always cringed at the thought of tossing away spent batteries, but now feel with the Sanyo Eneloop batteries, there is no need to buy those packs of alkaline batteries. Whenever purchasing a gift that requires AA batteries, I include the Sanyo Eneloop batteries and charger.
Nintendo Seal of Quality on these batteries? [Posted on 2008-11-22] Does anyone know if these batteries have the nintendo seal of quality logo on them? I have read that the batteries that you use in your nintendo wii remotes should have the nintendo seal of quality on them, so before I bought these just wanted to know if anyone knew of this? Thanks!
So far so good [Posted on 2008-11-23] I'm slowly converting all batteries in my house to eneloops, with this kit now I'm doing the office too. Quickly charges mouse and keyboard batteries from a USB port.
Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries [Posted on 2008-11-24] This product is simply amazing. I've taken over 1 hour of video on my canon sx110 is and over 100 photos and it's still at almost full charge. I've taken 200+ photos on my sony dsc-w1 and it's still got half battery left. I just hope that the batterylife itself will last long unlike other rechargable batteries...
