Hardware is NB to run this game [Posted on 2003-03-13] Was given this game by my wife (the first and last time she has ever bought me a game) and was extremely disappointed that I could not run it on my system because my graphics card does not handle texturing and shading. I am running a top of the range laptop system, and even with a P4 1.8 with 512meg DDR, 64 meg graphics adaptor - I still could not run the graphics. Be warned! This game will only run if your graphics card handles T&S. Apart from that problem, I am glad I got to change the game for another, as the reviews I have read on the gameplay are not good at all. I ended up getting Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind which is the best game I have ever had. Skip this one, and move onto Morrowind, and say goodbye to your real life!
I Had High Hopes... [Posted on 2004-02-26] I had High hopes for This Lord of The Rings Game. It started out beautifully. Vivid graphics, beautiful landscapes to explore. But by the 3rd level or so you start to realize the repetiveness in the game. The battle play was awesome for Aragon and The Grey Wizard, but Frodo's battle play was lack luster and boring. The story line lacked much compared to the books and the movie. And the enemies were easy to moderate in difficulty. This game had a chopped up ending aswell. An easy to beat Boss at the end and an ending that wasn't even half as desent as the ending of the acctual Fellowship. It left much to be desired.
