Works very well... after many adjustments [Posted on 2006-07-27] First of all, the item that is sent will NOT be the item in the picture. However the tuner still works. When I first installed the tuner, it crashed my computer. Apparently the driver did not agree with windows, and the driver recommended by windows will not work with the tuner. Nevertheless, after a few hours of messing with the driver, it eventually worked and it's been working perfectly ever since. By the way, just to clarify about video quality, for normal viewing, it's the best tuner under 30 dollars with a remote. But if you want to record, the video will not be so good, it'll be really fuzzy if you're use to dvd quality videos. And also, it will not work with Media Center (not the OS, but the program), which is quite disappointing. You should buy this only if you have the patience and technical experience to adjust those settings.
Does what it's suppose to [Posted on 2008-02-06] If you are looking for a basic capture/tv card this one will do ok. If you are looking for an above average quality image, you might look elsewere. The software provided is very basic but functional. I've had this card for about 4 years and the only time I had any trouble was when I tried to install it on a Win 98 machine (never did get it to work on this machine), it however has always worked fine in XP. Altogether this is a solid but basic card for the price, just don't expect high quality and you won't be disappointed
Perfectly Good for Our Needs [Posted on 2008-04-05] One might usually be leary of the lowest-priced version and of a brand name that doesn't splash across television screens; however when we needed to turn one of computers into a part-time television, Sabrent did the job quite well. Set-up was very easy.
I cannot speak for all the other features that this card and its software may have; I haven't used them. It was perfectly good for our needs.
Not so good [Posted on 2008-04-18] Not much to say about this. Cheap card, horribly basic and clunky software and drivers (with no updates). Never have been able to get the remote to work more than about 1 foot away from the receiver. I would definitely pass on this one folks.
