forget the big guns !! [Posted on 2003-04-17]
This new antivirus works great with xp home. I installed it and also got the firewall to try for a limited time free.. It's so easy to work with and also comes with ad-blocking and cookie manager so I can choose to void cookies when I want..It has a fast scanner and doesn't hang up my computer on shutdown like some other's do. The firewall or hacker stopper that it's called is easier to use than other's that I have tried..

Bad choice for dial up users [Posted on 2003-08-13]
I installed this program and it is continuously trying to activate my dial up connection even after registering the product. I am also having no success updating the virus definition files. Safeworld has a patch, so obviously there is a problem, although they do not make the patch easily available. The email support is slow (still waiting after 4 days). Now they want me to go into my registry and add a line. I should not have to do this. This can be quite dangerous for novice users.

Bugs disguised as software [Posted on 2003-10-13]
It did stop ad pop-ups. It also made ten times as many with the "debug", "run time errors" and other eror messages that it caused. The "form filler" pop up is annoying and the start up pop-up interferes with my wi-fi and my gprs start-up. I ran it for a day and nuked it off my system. Avoid this piece of junk at all costs.

Safeworld Spam and Pop-Up Blocker [Posted on 2003-10-28]
Pop-ups still occuring abeit at a reduced rate. It refuses to allow any gameplay at all. E-mail service in now sporadic at best. Custumer service is zilch after many e-mails. My advice to try any other product other than Safeworld.

Stay away from this buggy software! [Posted on 2004-06-01]
I got the software for a cheap price, but it ended up costing me much more in lost time. It took forever to install in Windows 2000. When it finally finished installing, it had disabled access to my DSL service. It refused to allow me to install certain other programs. When I tried to end it using ctrl-alt-del, it refused to stop running. I couldn't even uninstall it, because it had destroyed the Windows Control Panel Remove/Add Programs feature, and of course it doesn't come with its own uninstaller! I had to re-install Windows, which involved reformatting my hard drive and re-installing all my programs and data. It took hours to finish.

Avoid this program at all costs! If someone gives it to you, throw it away. Stick with a real anti-virus program that works, such as the well-known Norton/Symantec or McAfee, or even the less well-known AVG.
