Definitely a good buy [Posted on 2007-11-05] Bought it for using in my Honda Civic. working great ..Strongly recommend this for use in Cars..
Works well for what I need it [Posted on 2007-12-31] I got this recently to put into my Honda Civic Navigational audio system. Using a 2GB SD card and this adapter, it reads quickly and it fits well.
The worst Sandisk adapter that I ever had [Posted on 2008-02-08] I really like the sandisk product... but this PC Card adapter is the worst pcmcia card adapter that I ever had. I have only TWO WEEKS with this item and I DON'T KNOW how this thing stops to work... simply the slot is obstructed with the own pins... This item is VERY DELICATE and I'm a very care full person... lamentably I live outside of the United States, so I can't do nothing... I want my money back!!!... this thing doesn't work!... sincerely only for paperweight...
Warning: 16-bit adapter cards are OLD TECHNOLOGY! Stick with 32-bit [Posted on 2008-04-26] I don't know why these types of cards are still on the market--they are old, slow, and obsolete. Instead, search for 32-bit Cardbus adapters such as the ones made by Viking, Delkin, or Lexar, which are many times faster but not much more expensive. And, they fit in the same PC card slot on most laptops made in the last decade. The 32-bit cards I have used are even a bit faster than USB 2.0 and Firewire.
You can spot 32-bit cards by the gold strip at the top of the card. No gold strip? Then prepare to wait an hour or more for your data to transfer, while your laptop is brought to its knees. The old silver cards may be fine for storing and playing mp3s, or may be needed for laptops made more than 10 years ago, but any large amount of data--such as GBs of photos or video-- will take quite a while to copy over. Why would you want a reader that is SLOWER than your flash media?
Working in Civic and 32-bit card won't [Posted on 2008-06-14] SanDisk 6-in-1 PC Card Adapter works in the Honda Civic PC Card slot.
I also own the Viking Interworks 32-Bit High Speed 5-in-1 Flash Cardbus PCMCIA PC card. It does not work in the Civic. It appears to go into the slot, but the Navigation screen will not close.
I'm using 2 GIG SD cards in the SanDisk adapter.
