Good looking, working fine yet.. [Posted on 2008-05-08] Everything is okay, 2GB, pink, good looking very attractive,
yet when I gave this USB drive to my gf, she had to put all her
power and I mean all her power to take the cover off. Design flaw, or
maybe only this piece is defective? not so sure, won't buy same again.
Pretty... but not practical for constant mobility [Posted on 2008-05-14] It works fine, yet as someone before mentioned, it's unusually harder to remove the cap for some reason. I purchased the 1 gig for a grade school student to use while they were at school (It's the same design). However, I got side tracked by the pretty pinkness, and I didn't realize it doesn't have any type of open slot or small hole whatsoever throughout the thing to even accommodate a carry string or neck strap. For security and misplacement issues, this would be needed for most people, especially a grade school student. This might be simple for some, but for me this is essential for mobility. I found this to be a huge disappointing flaw, poor designing.
Great Gator [Posted on 2008-06-16] I bought the Gator because I needed a flash drive quickly. I good price and works great between XP and Vista. I disabled the U3, it was annoying.
Stay away from the Gators [Posted on 2008-10-12] Like Ravenjunk I bought the Gator, but the 1GB version, because I needed something in a hurry and trusted SanDisk. The U3 is so much fluff, it shows 2 drives one of which is the U3 hazzerai. You have to use the "disable this hardware" function to unplug it... Huh??
The worst part is the portability-to-lossability ratio: The cap is hard to get off and easy to drop somewhere. There's no ring to hang a strap to or any other means of connecting it to something bigger, to avoid losing it.
I'm getting a grownup drive. Money down the drain.
