I loaded this onto a brand new HP machine running VISTA. It doesn't work.
Also I can't get any help. A real waste of money.

An economical solution that works [Posted on 2007-09-16]
I have a very simple need. It is to be able to create my non-graphical documents in PDF format so that the recipients (such as my students) cannot alter them. I want to do it very cheaply without paying hundreds of dollars for the ADOBE ACROBAT program. Nuance's (or ScanSoft) PDF Create is a perfect and affordable solution. The installation is a cinch. Once installed, you will find the "conversion buttons" in your office programs. The execution is very intuitive. I simply create my document in the selected Microsoft Office program such as Word or Excel. Converting the document or spreadsheet in PDF format is a matter of clicking the button which is now part of your Microsoft program command. Window Vista users might have to download the upgrade in order to make it work.

PDF4 with PaperPort [Posted on 2008-02-16]
We keep all our household records in PaperPort instead of drawers full of paper. Things like utility/phone bills/emails/medical bills are scanned and placed in a folder.
PDF4 makes it easy, it is selected, just as you would a printer, creates a PDF file and places it where you tell it to.
Been using Create and PaperPort for years.
A real plus!!

This is a great product. It just saves documents as PDFs, which take up less space than other methods.

Waste Of Money - DOES NOT Work [Posted on 2008-10-25]
Congrats to those who say they got this to work. I bought a brand new PDF Create 4 and installed it straight away. Everything looked fine until I went to run it. Kept getting an error with the .exe command, shutting down the program. Looked into uninstalling it for a re-installation and it said I would be directed to their website during the first uninstall so that I would be able to re-install it (there is a recognized registration to this product that would only allow 1 install under the serial number). I uninstalled without ever being directed to the website. Of course, when I go to re-install it, it asks me for a NEW serial number.
Tech support doesn't exist, unless you pay for it.

My system is more than enough for the required minimums (I checked). I think the 5 star people must work for this outfit. Don't risk you money. Find something else!
