Nearly extraordinary, for what it is [Posted on 2008-01-07] One nice feature of this cordless phone system a large bold "lighted" LCD of the current time while sitting in the base, something I thought was really nice for the desk until I figured out it seems to loose about two or three minutes per week... this applies to the base and all the extension units you have since all the phones on your network run in time-sync. On the upside, it has a great alarm and speakerphone features and the sound quality and range are the best I've ever expaeienced, also the fact that is's moisture and dust resistant is very good. The phone book is easy to use, but I wish that the entries you enter in one phone were available to the others, If you have 4 extension phones, you have to enter a phone number 5 times if you want that particular number on all your phones. If I had it to do all over again, I would definately purchase this same system because it works so well as a cordless phone. Bottom line, it would be an extraordinary cordless if the clock was accurate.
Not water or dust resitant - Proprietary battery [Posted on 2008-02-09] OK, first I want to talk to the genious who put the headphone jack on the bottom of the phone. You have to remove your headset to put the phone in the charger. Are you kidding me? At more that 3X the price of other brands, I expected a high quality phone but got this piece of junk instead. The description leads you to believe the case is ruggedized with rubber. Not so, there's a thin band of rubber on the edges only - other than that it's plastic everwhere. It also claims to be water and dust resitant. How is that possible with a cheap plastic back cover with a 1" hole and no gasket? The voice quality is tinny when using the phone's speaker. There is a annoying delay when pressing buttons and the phone keeps ringing when you pick up an extension for a few seconds. And worst of all, it uses a proprietary battery. If you must have a Siemens phone get the S series that uses rechargeable AA batteries.
Very good phone [Posted on 2008-02-20] although it has some limitations, it a good phone over all.
The buttons paint are not the best, I almost didn't use it, but my feeling is that the paint of the buttons is going to be scratched in no time.
the caller id and address book doesn't interact very well specially if you have multiples area prefix
Looks good, feels good, not very useful [Posted on 2008-02-24] Everything good, except it is difficult to use. Typing in numbers and names is difficult and the functions are not intuitive at all for Americans.
Great Phone, Bad Timing [Posted on 2008-03-11] Excellent quality, excellent features, nice looking. Intercom is easy to use, speaker phone is great quality. One problem is the clock displayed on the LCD looses a couple of minutes a week.
