On the site the red color looks alarming, but when I got it its a lovely burnished dark cherry color. Very small and light as well. It works perfectly and quietly, sitting there humming quietly away backing up my Mac. I am very happy with this product.

I purchased this little drive in July '08 to use as a backup drive, and for more space for files. I am highly impressed with it's quality! I've left the drive on for days on end with my PC, and it never burns up or causes problems, and works wonderfully! :D

It's a great feature to have it powered by USB, for less electricity usage.

I didn't use the Fabrik backup software, as I wanted to be able to access my backed up files.

If you're looking for a small drive, at a great price and great quality, look into these little ones .. .they are wonderful!

I switched from a physically larger external drive with external power supply, to this one. I am very pleased with the difference. It functions great as a drive and looks about as cool as a drive could look. It is far more portable than my other one due to its small size and no external power supply needed.

The backup software was also a breeze to use and worked quickly.

Due to the size, design, and backup software I have found I use it much more than my other drives. A backup drive isn't much good if you don't use it so this one is very good for me.

I kinda wish I had gotten the 500gb version of this drive although I like the black cherry color better than expresso color.

Would not run when plugged in...bad choice twice [Posted on 2008-09-22]
I bought two of these to back-up all my pictures files. One for the road and one to keep at home. After only a couple weeks the travel external wouldn't run when plugged in, and then it started to make a really bad noise. So I started using the other one, same thing. The orignal cord that came with them never worked, luckly i had another cord from a western digital external. Would not recommend, waste of time and money and hopefully not your backed-up files and pics. Never again.
