Visually Stimulating [Posted on 2007-06-13] The character of Eros was the first I've ever seen drawn this way. You've got to see this movie just for that, but even further, it's an excellent story with great special effects.
Loved it! [Posted on 2007-06-20] Great voices and great animation. Awesome adventure that is well thought out and well done!
great movie [Posted on 2007-10-27] I thought that this was a GREAT movie! I love the dialogue throughout the film, it gave the movie a much more real feel. The CG is very good. Not absolutely amazing, but very good. A very colorful film. The basic message behind the movie is that there is good in humans. Not exactly an idea I agree with, but still a very entertaining movie.
A Poor Rewrite [Posted on 2008-05-21] Now as I recall, Sinbad was an Arabic sailor out of Basra and his religion Muslim.
So you have to wonder why the whole shebang was rewritten and transported over to ancient Greece. Not that I'd accuse the studio of pandering to prejudice.
Watch a real adventure: The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, with John Phillip Law and Tom Baker. It's imaginative, fun, and not afraid to show other parts of the world.
Surprisingly fantastic! [Posted on 2008-07-03] Some of you may remember the preview for this movie being something like this: "From the creators of Shrek--- fart jokes!" I thought I would hate this movie. I was absolutely wrong.
It's deep. It's emotional. It's entertaining for all ages, has beautiful art, animation and design, great music, and a profound message. Why can't more movies be like this?
