I like this product bc it was the only bt product I could find that I could plug my own head phones into. This was good bc I could use it with my home stereo my car stereo and my personal head phones. What I hate about it was that I can't get the battery to last more then 4 hours. Even the manual addresses that you'll need to use the product several times to get full battery life. Well I've fully charged it and used it till it completely dies about 5 or 6 times now and the battery has remained at working for only 4 hours. Only functions on product are start/stop, phone, volume. I had expected this but it would be nice it they came out with the same product with a better battery and maybe some more buttons on it like skip song or the name of the current song.

Battery life is only 4 hours, in a day when Sony's mp3 players get 33 hours and an ipod can play for almost as long. If you do buy this product, you can double the headphone output if you use skull candy's ear buds. The operability/human factors of the control unit leave a little to be desired--pressing two buttons to get the unit to pair/synch with a bluetooth transmitter. Why not just one 'pairing' button instead of pressing a small button at the same time pressing the >/Stop button. Battery life is the deal breaker. I bought this as a first try in the bluetooth world along with the Sony Bluetooth transmitter---lessons learned.

Good but only with Sony Ericsson [Posted on 2008-05-23]
Yes, It looks good! Sound quality is great! You can use it with any 3.5mm jack headset! However, buy it only if you intend to use it with a Sony Ericsson product. When paired with N95, HTC Tytn I or II, the sound cuts off for a split second every 80sec or so when listening to music. This imperfection, for me, is an absolute no no; ruins the music experience. Five of my colleagues have the same headset and they experienced the same shortcomings with all five. Hence, I threw mine in the bin and bought my self the HTC BH S100; works like a dream with my HTC device.

Not compatible with BlackJack II and MS Voice Command [Posted on 2008-05-28]
This device has good sound and great reception, but it did not work with my set up. I have a BlackJack II running Microsoft Voice Command, and the DS220 would drop the Bluetooth connection whenever Voice Command notified me of an event. Starting a Voice Command session from the DS220 would also cause the unit to disconnect after the command finished. The incompatiblity may be due to both the software running on the BlackJack II and the unit itself.

If I am not using MS Voice Command then the DS220 would work as expected on my BlackJack II. It functions great as a stereo headset when it comes to sound and reception, but the volume control is hard to use and the tiny display is basically useless. Im my opinion, it needs a dedicated volume control, the ability to play/pause, and previous/next track controls in order for it to be competative with other offerings.

I returned the DS220 and purchased a Sonorix C3 instead. The Sonorix C3 worked splendidly with my BlackJack II and MS Voice Command, and has all the features to make it a much more capable device.

It tends to skip when you use it for the first few minutes (at least mine does). I mainly use it to play music, and I notice that when I turn off one of either phone or headset, and I turn it back on it probably will skip. To resolve this I turn both of them off, or at least first turn of both BTs then back up again. I haven't used the A2DP yet with my laptop. Probably because I need to change drivers, or maybe because of an incompatibility issue with my laptop BT. I haven't really tried, but it does not work yet with my HP TX2000 vista machine. Early research mentioned that BT devices must be compatible with the BT software.
