Just what I was looking for. [Posted on 2008-09-04] Being the proud owner of an ipod shuffle I was in the market for a good pair of headphones after destroying my earbuds in a bike "accident."
I am not a big fan of the earbud type of headphones as I feel they are a bit detrimental to your hearing. I had a pair of clip-ons before but I would get fristrated with them as the cords were constantly getting tangled. In addition I wanted something with a shorter cord as I have no need for three feet of wire if the ipod is going to be around my waste. So I did some searching and voilĂ , just what I need.
The retractable cord works like a charm. I really like how it goes all the way in which makes for neat storage. The earphones how pretty decent quality if you ask me and are confortable enough. My only complaint is that it seems like the fabric that is next to your ear is kind of...cheap? Not sure if that is the right word, but I worry about how long it will last before it rips.
All in all, a good headphone. I would definately recommend them to a friend.
No more knots or snags! [Posted on 2008-09-05] These headphones are pretty nice. Push the button on the side for the cords to retract into the earpieces. The cord on the left piece connects the headphones to your player and the cord on the right piece connects to the left piece. With this kind of set up I can control the length of the cord behind my head and get the right length to reach my iPod. With a shorter cord, I couldn't keep the player in my pants pocket while listening to it. With a much too long cord, it would get tangled in my bag and snag on my bike handles. The cords on this model make a clicking sound when being lengthened and have yellow bands near the end of their extents to keep you from over extending them.
I love that they sit outside my ears since the bud styles hurt my ears and tend to fall out while exercising. It may take some adjusting to get them in the right position as the clips are spring loaded and can put an uncomfortable amount of pressure on the ears if not positioned well.
sony Clip on headphones review [Posted on 2008-10-30] The headphone is very well designed. I love the fact that it has a retractable cord, which prevents wires entangling and causing a big mess.
The Clip-on design fits perfectly on to my ears that even during running on the thread-mill there seems to be no problem.
Finally the sound quality is on par with any sony audio product. I am happy that I bought these headphones
Perfect with only one exception... [Posted on 2008-11-03] I bought these headphones about a year ago and I also had the previous version of these headphones.
Well, first of all if you're not specifically looking for clip-on retractable headphones which there are few on the market then don't complain about insignificant stuff. I, as well as most people probably purchased them because they are CLIP-ON/RETRACTABLE/COMPACT, not for sound quality, although they do sound great for me. These are slimmer than the last version and are comfortable without having to stick something in your ear(I hate that).
Anyway, these are great and the only issue I have found of using these over a year is that the rubber on the clips begin to peel off. The rubber on mine hasn't fallen off completely but it will soon, so that's why I bought another pair because I love then still.
very convenient, comfortable [Posted on 2008-11-07] I find these headphones to be incredibly convenient and comfortable. Thanks to Frank for the video which persuaded me to give them a try.
