I am a university professor. I give many lectures and seminars requiring a laser pointer. I dislike it when I attend a talk, and I can't follow the little dot. With this pointer, I am confident that everyone can see where I am pointing, and I don't worry about it. I wish more speakers would use bright laser pointers.

Green light laser made of shiny gun metal that is incredibly bright. It really gets attention in meetings. It's the type of laser that can get you in trouble if you decide to shine it at aircraft (so don't do it). I think the reason they include the "bonus" red laser pointer is so that you can see how much brighter is the green laser.

I was going to get it engraved with my name (so that I wouldn't lose it), but I was cautioned by the engraver that gun metal doesn't engrave well. So I just keep a close eye on it at meetings. For the price I paid (which was reasonable, by the way), I do not want to forget and leave it at a meeting.
