• Choose a sidekick from a long list of Spider-Man's powerful allies and swap between the web-slinger and the chosen sidekicks at any time during gameplay. Each sidekick, good or evil, features their own unique attributes that will assist Spider-Man throughout the game's challenges.
• Fight against movie Super Villains and then, using an innovative combat system, face off against and defeat some of the Spider-Man movies' most notorious Super Villains such as Doc Ock, Sandman and Green Goblin, and then convert them to join Spidey's list of potential sidekicks.
• A unique co-op mode lets friends join the game at any time and take control of Spider-Man's sidekick. Playing in two-player co-op mode allows gamers to discover new ways to overcome obstacles and enemies.
• As players progress through the game, battle arenas are unlocked where raw one-on-one brawling with any Super Hero or Villain can take place at any time.
• Replay the game or experience Versus mode with a different sidekick and eventually play as Black-Suited Spider-Man (Spidey's darker, more aggressive persona) with different powers and abilities. On different worlds, a host of secret areas containing special tokens can be discovered in the first play through, which players can go back and explore at any time.

MY SON 9 SAVED UP HIS BIRTHDAY MONEY FROM SEPTEMBER TO BUY THIS AWESUM PC VERSION OF THIS GAME & WE HAD SUCH A HARD TIME TO GET IT IN PC FORMAT BUT ..... THANKS TO AMAZON WE FINALLY HAVE IT & ALL THREE OF MY SONS ARE VERY VERY THRILLED WITH IT... SO WORTH THE $20.00 & SUCH A FUN EXCITING COOL GAME.... I'M VERY PLEASED SEEING HOW MUCH THEY ENJOY ALL THE VILLIANS AS WELL AS SPIDY.....

fun game for kids under 10 [Posted on 2007-12-14]
We got this game for my 10 year old. He loves it, but in under a week, he had mastered the game. One short-coming is the need to purchase the Xbox controller for Windows in order play 2-players. At a cost of about $50, seems like a conflict of interest. All in all, a good game. Kids love it.

Being a fan of the Comic related games, this seemed to be a game to get. The game is entertaining, but not very difficult. Works great with an Xbox controller hooked up to the PC.

My only complaints are that I needed to reinstall the game twice before it would work, and I need to have the disk in the drive to play the game.

even a 5 yr old can play [Posted on 2008-01-14]
ihave a 5 yr old son that has been able to access the internet since age 3...so he's savy with a mouse.......this game he absolutely LOVES...he has played online games and was used to using the keyboard buttons to move around, though this game has a few more buttons to use and some in combination, but he's learning....his dad has a few spots that were difficult to move, but, you can purchase a game stick to make it easier....the ONLY irritation is the long story at the beginning and you have to click through like 5 screens to turn it off...check yes, check save, check yes, check save...but he's 5 and wants to play it now, now, now.....BUT i understand there are many options to the game that he will be able to access much later...he's still learning to read, but he LOVES it...can play it for hours, though i do not recommend, so i limit his time or he'll never get off the computer!

My 4 yr old LOVES SpiderMan and this one lets him play not only as SpiderMan but all your favorite sidekicks and villians. He can't get enough of the game. He loves all the extras that you are able to unlock. It has coop play which lets someone else join in the fun at the same time. It's got great arcade action.
