Cheese Chase [Posted on 2001-10-03] This game is really fun. It has 100 levels and many animations along the way. It even comes with a built-in level editor so that you can build your own levels. There's no violence, and this arcade game featuring SPY Fox is very easy to run most of the time. The graphics are simple but good. Russian Blue has stolen the Limburger cheese and SPY Fox must catch her. You can also get this game in the Super Duper Arcade 1 value pack.
Not your typical Humongous game [Posted on 2005-01-19] We just fired this disc up yesterday and I must say I'm surprised. We really love (and own) just about every Humungous kids game they have created and they're all great. They're all constructed in the same way: there's a bunch of things one must collect in order to accomplish a particular task, and a child must use their curiousity and memory to work through the puzzles.
However, this game does not seem to be constructed in the usual way. From what I can tell, it is more of a pacman kind of game. You guide Spy Fox's car around a track avoiding obsticles and trying to pick up objects to win points. No thinking, no memory, nothing like the kinds of puzzles and problems the other games have.
So, I must say that at this point I am very disappointed in this title, and would not have bought it if I had known what it really was. If you're looking for the kind of game Humongous usually creates (like the Freddie Fish, Pajama Sam, Putt Putt or even the other Spy Fox games) this ain't it! Perhaps we're missing something here, but I honestly don't think so. Too bad....
Not up to par with Freddie the Fish [Posted on 2006-11-03] I purchased this thinking it would be a good computer game for older children. It's nowhere near as good as Freddie. As a matter of fact, it bores even the younger children AND the older children would rather play Freddie. If you're in the market for computer games, Freddie the Fish are the best.
