No Muss, No Fuss [Posted on 2004-05-19] Plugged this into my Toshiba 1415 running Windows XP and, voila!, I have three high speed USB ports. It is made well--as solid as can be expected for a PCMCIA device. No issues, no problems.
Great price but... [Posted on 2004-09-24] I ordered this cardbus after reading reviews and compared it with other products' reviews. It worked great on my Windows Me and installation was easy. But, there is an indication in the manual that you need power adaptor to optimise its performance and ADAPTOR IS NOT INCLUDED. I should have bought the Adronics Cardbus which included the adaptor. Although for webcam, mouse or keyboard, the extra power supply seems unnecessary, for external DVD and movie writter which I plan to buy, it seems utmost important. So I give it a 3 star.
Bad Design, and Wrong spec, Stay away from it, Please. [Posted on 2005-10-21] I went to the company's web site, reviewed their specs carefully, unfortunately did not read all available reviews before making the order.
Now, if the card actually works or not, I don't know. It would not even fit - go all the way in. The port at the and of the card stops the card from being fully inserted. It sticks out about an 8th or 16th of an inch from being all the way in in my Toshiba Tecra 9100.
I was blinded by the price and bought something made from a company I've never heard about, a product that doesn't even comply to the product specification, waited a weak to get it, and now I'm looking for another one because I'm returning this one.
Stay away from it. Please.
Stopped working after 17 days [Posted on 2006-01-04] Worked well for a couple of weeks, then died. Very disappointed.
Not as advertised [Posted on 2007-04-02] Without a powere cable, you can not fully perform to all standards. Cable was implied, but not received. They have very poor customer service (by email only), and I eventually received a notice from them that "a cable is not provided with the product"; not even a suggestion as to where to obtain the power cable! You might want to investigate the ZUN2200 by Zonet if two ports are acceptable for your use.
