Fun with great animation. [Posted on 2002-07-28] This game is fun and has some killer animation! I have to say the oversized heads on the Star Wars characters are hilarious! My favorite is Darth Maul. This is a fun cart style game based on the Star Wars Episode I movie with most of the main characters in it (minus Kwai Gon Gin - of course I can't seem to spell this charaters name today! Too much coffee maybe!!) and scenes from the movie as well. This is a fun game, but I do not recommend playing this game if you have any hand problems such as carpal tunnel as you are constantly pressing on the "x" button to make the carts go and using the toggle stick to steer the carts and it can be very sressful and tiring on your hands. If you are a Star Wars fan or know someone, this would be a good game to get. It's a little on the pricey side but you can always shop around. Even at the high price it is still a fun game. If you have a local place that will rent the game, I would go that route first to see how the game is place, handles, etc., then purchase it if you truly enjoy it.
Great fun in multiplayer mode! [Posted on 2002-08-04] When you think of Super Bombad Racing, think Mario Kart ... but instead of little cars, you have cool little Star Wars ships. And the drivers are the various characters - with giant heads! It is TOO cute, and great fun. There are the regular race courses, where you learn how to drive each character. They're all a bit different from each other, with their own strengths and weaknesses. Try to get through all the courses to unlock secret options and characters. Like most of these games, though, it really gets fun when you bring on another human. Suddenly you've got a little Darth Maul chasing after a little Yoda, blasting away! With four players it gets even more hilarious. A relatively short game on the single-player side, but endless fun with friends and family!
this gme rules!! [Posted on 2003-04-19] i rented this game because itlooked down right funny. I mean lookat it. little characters with big head racin eachother. It is alot like mario kart 64 but better, much better. i love this game now and i highly recommend it.
Star Wars Deserves Better... [Posted on 2004-04-25] I bought this game because I am a fan of Star Wars, and I love multi-player racing games. This game does not have the features required to stay entertaining long enough. Sure it would be a great rental, something different to enjoy for an evening, but afterwards it becomes monotonous. There really isn't anything to work up to while playing this game. Basically, the tracks do not add enough entertainment, and power-ups become nearly pointless in this game. I truly think the animations and the look of the game is great! Still, it is too simplistic of a game concept without an innovative racing system to catch my interest long enough. I happened to enjoy Star Wars Podracing for the Nintendo-64 a lot better. I should've known better not to buy this just because it was a Star Wars games. I guess Star Wars games can be poor too. Game features seemed to be cut too short to even captivate interest long enough. Pros: Simple to understand Great graphics Neat adaption of Star Wars character design Cons: Not fun for long Way too generic I'd rather play Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, or even Star Wars Podracing before this game. Great to try and play for a while. Boring to play for long.
... [Posted on 2005-07-07] I'm a racing fan, and star wars fan, so i rented this. I did not like it, but i played it a few years ago so i have no memories on this game. I do remember that the levels were filled with junk and the sense of speed was fast, so all you did was hit stuff. I did not like it.
